Anyone going out to watch this?
Newtown should be interesting - ToB race book says the race is there around 11:30. There's also a Rally GB service area in Newtown at lunchtime on Friday, with a shedload of rally spectators not likely to be expecting semi-closed roads.
I'd go somewhere different. Unless you want to see both obviously...

Cwm Owen climb for me as well as I can't be bothered with the fuss at the end and the Storey Arms KoM isn't really much of a hill. Bet there will be a break away there.

Somewhere between Builth and Brecon probably. Caerphilly is within reach, but guessing it will be rammed.

I'll probably nip down to Welshpool, although the first KOM climb at Kerry may be more exciting.........hmmmm!

Will be around Dolfor, on the climb south out of Newtown. Flask, biscuits, cake. And sideburns.

Just to warn people before they waste their time.
Caerphilly mtn is a terrible place to view the race. It offers without doubt the worse viewing place of the entire course.
Def worth the effort to drive a few miles towards Brecon and get a much better view.

... and the burgers on top of the mtn are made from stray dogs & garnished with the dog poo the owner scrapes off his shoes in the morning.

(that should do it..)

great footage on TV.... ๐Ÿ™„

It is annoying that WRC throughout the year gets poor coverage but would it be too much to ask to have coverage of our own event?
