. . . besides, of course, annoying Frenchmen.
Gonna zip over to see the sprint on July 7 but not sure what else to do before and after the race.
Do finish towns tend to have a bit of a party around the race (booths, exhibits, stuff for my 7-year-old boy to do) while I check out the podium girls. . . , er bikes.
Anything else to see in Reims?
Anything else to see in Reims?
There's quite a nice church and once there was a bit of motor racing to see. But definitely nothing to drink. Oh no, not at all.
(This sarcasm roughly translates as: the cathedral is stunning, and I visit every time I pass through; there used to be a motor racing circuit, and the ruined grandstand and pits are just nearby; Reims is in Champagne, with Eperney just down the road - go to a few houses for tours/free champers?)
😀
Never been to a finish town before, but you'll need to get yourself somewhere to watch the stage unfold, before legging it for a good spot for the 10 second blur that is watching the race live.
PS the French pronounce it something like "rance", just in case you need to parley with a local podium lady or two.... 😀
take a look around a champagne 'house', will need to book though
D'Oh, of course, champagne.
Thanks, totally forgot.
And yes, I know to pronounce it "Rance", like "France", the country that makes England look like football geniuses.
Any Tour-specific activities you think the town will put on?
Also thinking of going out to see a couple of stages early on .
Im being made redundant on the 1st july , so this would give me a plenty of time to go out and have a watch 😀
Anyone know if theres plenty of campsites out in france ?
