Looks a bit large tbh.
This one here did it for my bike.
HTH
looks good cheers,anyone else?
I have the BBB one as well. Works for me.
cool - anywhere cheaper or do i have to splash the cash?
I've got the x-tools on above, and although it is tough and torques up silly tight, it feels pretty uncertain under 15NM (ie most bike bits these days) and for 5nm you may as well just guess. It feels more like an automotive one (just has an x-tools sticker over someone else's) and if i bought another one I would spend a bit more on one with a lower range.
have a look at machine mart
I use the two park ones. My first time with beam deflection types but they seem to work well.
The BBB one seems pretty good value, you have to careful with torque wrenches because most are manufactured not to be used under 20% of their full range, well those made to the BS std anyway, BS 26789: 2003, if you're interested. As the BBB one has a max range of 24Nm it's ok for use at 4.8Nm upwards - well with in the range of most bike requirements.
Sealey 3/8" Square Drive 2 - 24Nm Torque Wrench from www.Tooled-Up.com
Cost £41.97 and you can get 3/8" Square Drive torx T25 drive fittings for rotor bolts etc... same as the bike stuff but cheaper? and good quality/certified
seemed like a good deal to me and works with a 3/8" socket set I had already
Go on then, I'll be the first to say it:
You don't need one.
Of course, it is an excuse to buy tools, and tools are good
BBB works for me.
efretto pro - expensive but a thing of beauty in tool form.
joi-sus... one hundred and forty six squids...
Norbar SLO.
IHN, you might be right. When I first got mine it was because I was worried about my Thomson stem on CNT bars but the bolts in the face plate we no more than an eight of a turn out from where they needed to be. No sure what torque range that equates to though!
Just got the BBB one off ebay for £45, also get cash back from quidco 🙂
cheers for the recommendations
