Hi All
Replacing my shocks on my attack trail. When putting the caps back on the quad-links they got stuck and I damaged the ruts on the heads.
In order to have any chance of getting them out again I need to get the right screwdriver. I was using a flat head that was far too small. However, I couldn't find anything even close wandering round B&Q or online.
The driver would need to be a cross head, have completely flat ends and be about 1cm across. See here:

Also does anyone know where to get replacement caps?
Thanks.
just ask where you bought the bike from and they can order you some from ATB....the marin importers..
Yeah, that makes sense. What about the tool though?
I'd contact Marin but if you must DIY then buy the largest phillips head (PH4) or pozidrive (PZ4) screwdriver you can find and grind the tip down?
Excellent idea. Didn't think of that. I've the job already finished. I was changing the Rockshox Monarch cause it leaks air for my old fox float. Just had problems getting the caps on.
BTW The Monarch I was switching had already been replaced by Marin. Such a bad shock, always seemed to leak air, even the new one. I'd been riding on the Fox for years on my old bike before the frame broke without any significant leaks, I'm just lucky that it is compatible with the Marin.
