Right, my roadie helmet needs replacing. I'm after something:

1) with bug mesh - either in built or as a separate extra (Kask do that) as I hate getting bugs in my helmet

2) orange or orange and black - partly visibility - current one is HiViz yellow, and partly as it's club colours

3) black straps - I've had a helmet with white straps - never again!

Searching all the main online players for brands to go looking to try on I'm struggling to find anyone with something that ticks all three boxes - hoping someone out there has a leftfield suggestion to put me out of my misery!

I think Lazer helmets do the god awful sounding pisspot you desire. they do an 'aeroshell' attachement I think.

MOR AERO!

Kask Moquito available in black and fluroro orange - or at least it was when I bought mine. Really comfortable. The strap is black albeit with white edging, but I've found it relatively easy to wash.

Who new helmet bug mesh was a thing. Never really had a problem with bugs in helmet.

Laser do actually appear to do a proper bug mesh that retains venting qualities.

Could you not get some bug mesh and fashion your own?

Cheers BWD - I've looked at the Mojito before but didn't find it terribly comfortable on my head - I may go and revisit it though.

Mrblobby - bug mesh is fairly common in kids helmets. I've been stung by a bee that got caught in my helmet before, not great for me or the bee.

No worries. I guess it depends on your head shape. I really like the Kask retention system too and the synthetic leather chin-strap. There's a black and orange Gyro Synthe if yo'ure feeling rich. And a Savant as well, I think. (Oops, no mesh, I guess)

Looked at the Synthe. Hoping that Mojito might fit!

I used to have a synthe and I noticed that insects would just fly through it and out the other side. I really wish it fit my head better.
