At last I get a Local Bike Shop here in Littleborough - [url= http://www.the-ride-stuff.co.uk/ ]the ride stuff[/url] .Previously I'd have to travel (past Paulsons) at least 10 miles each way
It's in Littleborough on the edge of Calderdale and just off the Mary Townley Loop so hopefully they can pick up enough business to survive.
It doesn't have a shop front as it's above the snooker club (access via external stairs round the back).
I'm not connected to the shop but I am genuinely excited about getting a LBS and I hope they thrive. I'll be popping in over the weekend to see if they have anything I 'need'.
Good news ... live in Rochdale myself think I'll have a look in ..
Ooh, we need a decent bike shop in the area - the only ones at the moment are Halfords and the afore-mentioned misery guts.

Went down to the shop today. Big place, plenty of bikes on display. Not much accessory stock as yet but we were told it's all coming. Shop staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and keen to know what we would like to see stocked etc - the cake and coffee on offer was appreciated too! 🙂

I went down too (I was down about 15:00).
It's looking good and I came out with a couple of purchases. They should have some clothing in soon. I wonder how long that workbench full of shiny Park Tools will stay so clean!
The lady in the shop was really keen to find out what sort of clothing MsD would be interested in wearing, she seemed pleased to hear we know of more female riders in the area as well 🙂
Unfortunately they didn't have the cleats i wanted but they will by the end of the week, think i can see a leisurely pootle down the canal to 'boro on friday afternoon...
