For the first time I have ended up with a tight link in my new chain which as normal i joined using a shimano joining pin is there an easy way the remedy this, or should i not worry about it.
Cheers for any help on this riveting thread

thumbs on the side plates either side of the stiff link and flex it gently back and forward in the direction it isn't supposed to bend. Repeat until fixed.

Ease it using the intermediate 'teeth' on your chain tool.

I'd go for the otherjonv's suggestion. i usually find this is needed after joining a chain.
