Does anybody else have a clicking noise, unless their seatpost clamp is very tight. Salsa 30.0mm clamp and thompson post. Is the aluminium shim/ti/seatpost interface causing it? Any ideas?

That bit is fine on mine, I should give the clamp a good lube before the next ride and lightly lube post as well.
Just thought I would ask as I know there are a few others on here.
Ah, so its not just me going mad in my middle age then 😕
Definitely seat related clicking, no noise when out the saddle - I thought it was saddle rails as its not a new saddle, but I oiled that and greased the seatpost on saturday without effect.
I think you might be right about the shim having something to do with it.

Have just given the Thomson seatpost a meticulous strip down and put a light smear of copperslip on all contact surfaces - quick spin round the block and no noise.
So, possibly not the shim after all...
Will do the same tomorrow.
