Why does it always happen, you buy some new forks, some new hope hopes, get ready to fit them for the weekend of riding in CYB and you realise that the post mount forks you have bought (which you took into account) are a different post mount your old forks). Why would they have differentl post mount on Marzochhis to Magura's. The new Hope hopes I have bough also have 4 bolt mounting and so I can't even run a bigger disc.
The caliper mounts okay to the fork, but the 180mm disc is 20mm too small... This is weird because on my previous forks I was running a 180mm disc (and I have measured it to make sure).
Why does this always happen when they is nought you can do about it on a Thursday night, when you are going riding striaght from work on the Friday?
So after running around all week trying to get everything ready, collecting forks, picking up shiny new wheels, I am running my old bombed in bombers and wheels with tired bearings and freehub.
AWESOME!
I love Mountain Biking!
I could have guaranted something going wrong!
Which fork do you have? If you have a Thor then the PM caliper fits directly to a 7" (180mm,) rotor. The Wotan has an 8" PM fitting so that the P.M. caliper fits direct to an 8", (203mm), rotor. Just when things all started to get standardised... ๐
