I used to think I was a fairly normal human. My hands look fairly normal and my thumbs are opposable and the usual shape. So, why can't I find a pair of gloves that fit my hands but don't ram the ends of my thumbs into the thumby bit? It's tiring on a mountain bike ride but road riding, especially on the hoods, is uncomfortable after a few miles.
I've spent ages in bike shops, trying on different sizes and it's clear I'm a L size glove wearer but have XL thumbs. An XL glove is baggy and creases up at the palms.
Does anyone else suffer from this? If so, have you found a glove that fits?
Don't wear gloves on a road bike, it's much more comfortable.
Other then that, go into a big bike shop, try on a range of gloves, if you haven't already. Seems the obvious thing to do.
