Spent the day yesterday at BPW, and wow, what a frustrating day!

You know, those days, when you just can't seem to get it together, you ride stiff, like a plank, reacting rather than pro-acting, miss every good line, bounce off every rock on the hill, flow like treacle, and frank, SUCK big time ๐Ÿ˜‰

I could blame a large combinations of things, including first time on a new bike, with different tyres, guessed suspension settings, ive not ridden at BPW for a year, i've not done much gravity stuff recently, it's a full moon, there was the wrong kind of sleet, you known those sorts of things, but truth is, it was me, being crap!

Went home after the last run of the day, feeling, a little bit depressed with how far off the pace i felt.

Then, this morning, i saw this pic:

And you know what, even if all day felt like a struggle, that makes me look a little bit like i know what i'm doing on a bike ๐Ÿ˜†

Who says the camera never lies eh!

I have those days sometimes and I usually find that Mr Pea has secretly pumped up my tyres too hard when I wasn't looking. ๐Ÿ˜€

Imagine that feeling every time you swing your leg over a bike...

Swap you?

Oh my days!

That's possibly worse than an Unduro thigh gap.

My top tip regarding those days is don't then do something which pushes your comfort zone, have a huge crash, and post the video up here, or you'll be forever tarred by it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pretty special eh! Unfortunately in line with not-haveing-a-good-day i also forgot my baggy waterproof trousers, the ones i can fit pads underneath!

And, as it spent most of the day sleeting, it was either pads outside, or no trousers or no pads, and the last two options were, er, not options ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've also got a bit of a wild Enduro elbow thing going on as well!

Top marks for colour coordinating your bike & jacket with that post in the background.

I think i'd have bought some shorts from the shop rather than that all too public faux pas.

Still, at least it wasn't a pressure suit over a jersey.

I had some shorts (some natty TLD ones) but it was 2degC and sleeting! And being a big soft sorthern jessie, i'd rather commit sartorial suicide than freeze my nuts off...... ๐Ÿ˜†

In his defence he's not built like the typical STWer so doesn't have the natural insulation the rest of us have 'invested' in.

Pity the overlap area of the Venn diagram that indicates "Looking like and Enduro God" and "Being an Enduro God" is sooo dam small...... ๐Ÿ™„
