Bought a Thomson dropper post which arrived today. There is a cable tensioner in the box but I just can't figure out where it goes or how to fit it. The instructions don't even mention it. Can somebody tell me how to fit this?

Mine didn't come with one when I fitted it. It sure if this is helpful advice or not

So it goes:
remote lever -> short cable -> cable tensioner -> long cable -> post
