just been watching a recording of iex news (extreme channel) whilst i had my dinner. they had a brief article on "guerilla orienteering bike race" (that's what the man said) from budapest. basically competitors (messengers) have 24 hours to plan their route, then they race around the city with the winner being the first to get to the finish having reached (delivered their package to) several check points, in any order they see fit. they all wear gps transponders (presumably so their speed/route can be checked to make sure they didn't chuck the bike in the back of a truck!), it was run at night and the riders were using singlespeeds.

anyway, don't know if anyone else saw it but it looked good.

"Red Light"? Oh, the irony.

Those ****monkeys slashing their way through red lights, through pedestrians and through other cyclists do more to damage urban cycling than almost anything.

Apart from cars, of course.
