Watched this on my last night in Whistler (sob sob !)and was blown away the crowd went wild !!Preorder has gone in can't wait for the DVD !Wait 'til you see the quality of the cinematography .
Apologies if it's been mentioned before i haven't been around for a while !
A) no, follow me was cack.
i'm off to see this one in a few weeks. if it's rubbish it'll still be better than 'follow me'.
Wot! - Follow Me was great, so was the soundtrack.
Find is pretty cool for cinematography too, although it's not for the huge air big jump brigade
follow me: massive jumps + thrash metal.
been done before thousands of times, crap then crap now, bored of it, nothing new, no imagination.
(i know it wasn't but) it looks like it was a just cobbled together out of bits that didn't get into roam or seasons because they were too generic. to a thrash metal soundtrack.
ahwiles - you should of watched the whole film, I seem to recall dub reggae, hip hop and techno, amazing landscapes and a jump park shot at night in black and white.
follow me was a disapointment, and the soundtrack was complete crap
not as big a disapointment as Find though, thts way too much talking then about 30 seconds of the Skye helidrop
About 10% of that trailer is riding, hope the full flick fares better.
LifeCycles does indeed look amazing, it just appears to have been done with a different approach. Theres that one bit in the trailer with the grey dirt, big yellow/orange boulders and the rider in orange gear, just looks brilliant, I'd have that as a poster on my workshop wall.
I hate those long intros
just get on with it!
There is a very limited UK cinema tour to coincide with the release of Lifecycles. All cinemas are showing it in HD and Dolby Surround sound.
The tour starts in Glasgow on the 11th of November at the GFT. www.gft.org.uk - tickets are on sale now.
Cheers
Sanny
PS It ain't like any other mountain bike film that's gone before. There is very good reason why the crowd went nuts in Whistler at the premiere screening! It's been made as a film to be shown in the cinema and not just a straight to DVD release.
To be honest, I think that looks fantastic from that trailer. I think I might buy it. ๐
Cheers OF! ๐
This is waaaaaaaay better. How many times can you watc a dude doing a summersault?

I still think this is as good as i've seen:

Awesome video
some amazing riding and camera work in that last vid lunge
the intro is cringeworthy though, is it necessary to be retarded to be a good dirt rider? doooood ๐
I loved seasons, fantastic film. Follow me beyond disappointing for the reasons above.
Hope this one is better.
Follow Me was really boring, too much slow motion and I thought it was edited to too slow a pace. The riding was awesome, its just they didnt make it very interesting to watch and should have used more of the follow-cam stuff.
Can't get on youtube, so I can't tell if this has already been posted, but this looks worth a look:

Nice video Lunge. Prefer VAST to follow me but do quite like the soundtrack, more to it than just thrash metal
I liked Follow Me and I like the look of Life Cycles. I can't define what I like about some films; I love great filming, great riding, great music. Sometimes I can watch 'dull' riding that's been filmed well and edited cleverly, other times it's an instant skip-chapter. Duff music can sometimes be overlooked if the rest hangs together well. I can even stand Clay Porter's monotonous dialogue over the top of his movies, because they tend pack a lot of content into one DVD.
And I can't think of any 'Thrash Metal' in Follow Me, but I'll go check again... ๐
Sanny, any news from the watershed?! I'm so itching to see this film!
Yeah Lunge that vid is awesome. What's the film called?
I bloody loved follow me, amazing cinematography, great music and some brilliant riding.
The collective and clay porter make the best mtb videos i've seen so far.
Looking forward to life cycles, trailer looks great.
Has there been an STW film ever?
Portly chaps on Orange Fives (in 160mm AM configuration) riding to the Happy Shopper in full face helmets, whilst the bland musical stylings of Elbow meander away non-offensively in the background.
I must hunt out that Damian Marley / Slayer collaboration by the sounds of it?
That video lunge posted a link to...those guys were in Follow me, they built trails used in Follow me, including the one in that video I believe, and the style is very similar to a couple of sections in follow me.
Anyway, Follow me was great. That is all.
Welcome to Jamrock!
Music on Find is pretty cool too:
Dreamer - Molina Soleil & Aju W/ DJ Icewater
Quick Canal (w. Laetitia Sadier) - Atlas Sound
Fly Like a Horse - Sylvain Chauveau
Just for a Day (Sunday) - TM Juke
