Don't get me wrong I like the aesthetics and the wide base to the AB cogs but not sure what benefit there could be?
Oh hang on would it be of benefit if you were singlespeeding in a normal frame with a tensioner?

I was thinking that. If the chain is tight enough there really isn't a need for it.

Its for those who forget your supposed to tension the chain once in a while

Kinda pointless? 2x as expensive for something that’ll last a fraction of the time. And an expensive mechanical solution for a niche of singlespeeders who are adverse to spending money maintaining the only maintenance task on their bike?

The only niche it’d work on is non SS frames and not using a tensioner and only then in the minority where the ‘magic ratio’ falls on an even number and didnt need a half link!

About as much use as t**s on a fish.

Nice bit of machining though.

I likes the disclaimer 🙂

If you weigh over 100kg or ride your single speed everyday, best to choose the steel option which is coming soon.

In the case of the AB one I'm going to say "because it looks freaking awesome".

I know at least one singlespeeder with a Ti frame that's so flexy on the back end that it keeps throwing the chain when he really puts the power down.
It'd work a treat for him.

For pimp value its pretty good, otherwise pointless.
Never lost a chain riding singlespeed either on of off road and even when riding geared the bulk of the times I have dropped a chain its been at the front/crank end.

I've lost a chain off the back when a bit loose.
