Personally I AM surprised. I've not been following the entries situation, but considering the Winter series races are always pre-booked several weeks in advance, plus the bigger marketing effort this year.
Was this year the first year that it was a CRC event? Can't remember last year, i was a get race. Same there not doing it this year but i was busy anyway. They could do a big mates race instead!!! 🙂
Yes, this year was the first time in conjuction with CRC. The email said they'll be re-launching the event for 2013 with more advertising - but I thought they had done a lot this year, and I can't really see how much more coverage they can get!
No Fuss Events have cancelled two events this summer as well 🙁

Given that part of the world isn't the most exciting riding, I wonder how many outside riders they attract. If I was going to spend that amount of time travelling again for a race (I've done D2D) I'm not sure it'd be Thetford.
BTW, I'm aware that might be unfair, but perception is probably a driver in these things
But also remember Thetford is not far away for much of the South East or the East Midlands. I'm just surpsied given the healthy turn-out last year and positive feedback that I heard, the event has been under-subscribed.
Perhaps everyone really is belt-tightening....? I know for me it was a case of MM24 or the Thetford Enduro.
Well, I used to live in the SE and I would think hard about the 3+ hour drive to Thetford for the type of riding against, say, a day trip to Wales.
