I've seen (and participated in) a few threads recently which have been ribbing the infamous wok-smuggling niche-wh0re we know as SheldonA.

Just to restore some balance, I thought I'd start this thread to show our appreciation since he's a great bloke IRL and did a brilliant job (with help) at SSEC10 and has taken some great photos of me and my mates at various events and even just on randon Afan trips.

So, post something nice about him just to give him a warm fuzzy feeling. And maybe some good pics if you've got them.

Play nice ๐Ÿ˜‰

He's an honoury member of the Clent duffers too. We love him really. It's only cause he's currently poorly off the bike that we have to rib him electronically instead of face to face.Hope to see him out on one of his so niche it's now come mainstream bikes soon , get well soon mate.

Seems like a decent bloke to me. Offered me a beer on MM last year whist I was slogging round on the Singlespeed.

Never got it, mind.

so we have;

someone a lot of people have never heard of
who undertakes some sort wok related activity no-one understands
whilst being a spiritual leader of some sort of fringe group

?

and we're supposed to post something nice about them?

aye Jolly nice guy Sheldon is. I Met him through STW (posted something up about riding in the cotswolds 2/3 years whenever i went to see my parents) turns out I kinda knew of him as he went to the same school as me.

Been on numerous rides with him since.

Does seem as though everyone knows him.Few cases in point

Did the welsh c2c with StevetheBarbarian off here, didn't really know the rest of them. Sat in the pub on the 1st night. After a bit of chatting this Guy from derby says. "yea.. i know sheldon, i bought his pompino frame off him"

Another one was the other week i did a 10mile TT in bristol. The owner of the bike shop also knew him! small world

Never met him. He's from "up there" isn't he?
However, I remember a lovely photograph of a spaniel with its ears mimicking the shape of a tree behind them.
Once of the best ๐Ÿ˜€ photos ever on here.

(I hope it was him anyway!)

Recovery ok thanks done a couple of short road rides and feel ok, dropped medication down to 22pills a day as from this morning! Still a way to go but on the right road now! Fingers crossed the alps trip in 2 weeks will be ok to ride ๐Ÿ™‚

he's a top bloke who's taken me riding in some truly filthy wet conditions to show me stuff in the FOD. One of the nicest most genuine chaps I've met (just goes to show I've lead a sheltered life) ๐Ÿ˜‰

In fact all the niche boys I've met have been jolly decent except that singlespeedstu chap, he got me very drunk indeed (or at least helped finish me off) he's a bad man

Stu, I think you'll find that wasn't me (as far as I can remember ๐Ÿ˜• ). The Swede did say something about "coming" to see you that evening, so that may explain it ๐Ÿ˜€
