National Champs jerseys then:
TT - Alex Dowsett
Road - Ben Swift

So TT colours at the Tour but Swifty isn't riding which is a shame.

It’d be nice to see Ben Swift back into things after his crash. It’s his kind of finish I think

Good lad Swifty. Why didn't I drop a tennner on him!

Can anyone remember the site that, in previous years, published a download link for the full TDF roadbook?

Cav not selected by Dimension Data

Sadly, I'm not surprised at all. I fear his winning days are behind him.

No cav makes for a less fun tour 🙁 , but if the twitter talk is correct his virus management isn't sorted enough for him to ride so it would just put him on the back foot again. really hope it's not the last we see of him.

I sat at the halfway point at the weekend at Holkham Hall in Norfolk for the National Champs, the feed zone was at the bottom of a slight "upslope", i hasten to call it a hill in Norfolk! I sat about 100 yds up the slope as they jettisoned bidons and musettes, for two laps.

Stannard came through off the front for the second lap, looking pretty svelte for him, but Cav was already looking to be off the pace, and this is on a fast but fairly flat course that i would of thought favoured the sprinters.

Gutted for Cav and myself 🙁 I had hopes if not expectations of a last hurrah. Wishing him all the best for the future but probably this is it at the top end of the sport.
Took this picture on Caerphilly mnt, during the TOB they had to go up twice. Cav fancied the sprint so gave it full beans on the first ascent, he didn't look so good second time around 😂.

Not unexpected news about Cav.

Really hope he can come back strong at some point though. Feels like he's been robbed of a fitting end to his career as it is.

The best thing Cav can do is get the proper rest he needs and take the time to potentially make a fighting comeback next year? Get him on the track over the winter.

Will any team support him in doing that though? Dimension Data have given him a lot of support up until now to be fair.

I'm guessing they feel they have better chance of stage wins, looking at the other riders Dimension Data are taking, from Boasson Hagen than from Cav.

Shame after such a great career til last year, if he just kind of fizzles out..

Yeah they have some good riders for potential stage wins there - also Cummings, Valgren and possibly Kreuziger.

"lead out" style sprinters are fast becoming a luxury item for many teams, was perhaps not what the UCI was looking for when they reduced the teams to 8.

I think the GC teams "sprinting" for the last 4km doesnt help either.

Edit I mean 3km

No, they can Foff in my opinion for making velogames stop - would prob have signed up to both if they'd let him carry on as well

Apparently he's good to start today. He had a bit of trouble juggling bottles.

This is pretty cool, though

found some spectators to throw the empty one to

I've noticed this happening more often. Someone gets a souvenir, and/or the bottle gets reused rather than just binned in a hedge.

For some reason I find myself with the urge to buy some Wanty. Whatever it is. Can’t think why.

That’s not unexpected, considering Matty VdP rides Canyon already... Crelan could do with a bigger sponsor like Alpecin..
