Fivespot - that is lovely.
Nice bike Five.
fivespot - I will second the comment about loveliness. I'm not normally a fan of old bikes but I do like that one
Love the trials bike five spot , that's excellent.
Thanks for all the comments guys.
The next one will be far more trick, with CNC'd alloy bits and a sprinckling of Ti 8)

Have been running a 26-39-52 (same 26 tooth range) on the tandem for years using a standard bottom pull fd-7703 9-speed triple DA front mech, which works just fine. Had an Ultegra triple before which also worked, but that didn't shift so well between middle and big, whereas the DA was the first triple designed for 39/52 rings. Dates back to when DA 9-speed was still state of the art!
So no need for all that bodging.
Lexspace? I think you'd get the same reaction to the end product as presenting someone with a plate of baked beans, having placed each bean in a spaghetti hoop.
If you have the talent to do that to cars, why an Espace and a Lexus?
Aracer, it shifted, fine, but being lower that your setup, and using 3 wheelsets (11-32 to 11-23 being the two extreme cassettes in the range of 3) the chain was dragging on the cage, on the tighter cassette.
NO way aound that, except to lengthen the cage.
I've got enough to do without inventing work for myself.
Ah fair enough - I can see that you'd get chain drag with an 11-23. Don't use anything that tight on the tandem (or if I do it's for a TT where I won't be using the little ring).
I'm in here

it's bad enough to get the piston stuck in there in the first place
it's good enough to use silo's milling machine to get it out again...

My picture has a similar theme, though clearly not involving milling machines (and the idea was ben's).
most of the work carried out by me over 10 years ๐
engine spec'd, built and in the end mapped by myself ๐
inc some machine work
a little over engineered I know lol
sold it on a few years ago to get into cycling instead ill build something again in the future, but in the mean time
I spend my at work time being a reactor panel operator on the above, controlling the reactor and working on the systems when required
