I agree it's useless. I got a notification in my email that @submarined had messaged me but cannot in any way find the message. I tried messaging back obviously not worked either. I even subscribed, something I've toyed with but now realise is a waste of time.

Messages for classifieds. Arrrgghh. Cannot see DMs via either SW website on Edge browser or Chrome.
Someone sends a message, it appears, I reply. It's gone forever.
Where are the messages please? I need to contact a purchaser but have no idea/way to do so. Can't use the 'workaround' above as I don't know the username of the purchaser.

Came to see what was going off with messages. I appreciate it's probably built in functionality to the website template, but how hard can it be?

Sorry that might sound cockish which it wasn't meant to be , referring to any inbuilt design rather than stw work. (I work with 0racle cloud and I'm amazed every day how they're so "successful")
Am having an issue that I cannot go on singletrack forum on my laptop as a popup keeps appearing that stops us logging in (allow ads or pay to get rid of ads to continue etc). I used spybot to scan my laptop as I do every week and issue has just started now.
I cannot log in as the popup overrides my login (I am a full member).
I did try disabling my adblockers and vpn then refresh but popup keeps happening.
There is a long running issue with the pop up text, Mark is trying to the company who look after that side to change it. In the txt there is highlighted part for a link to take you to the full member log in.

@Drac thank you unfortunately it still has the pop up after using the link and logging in (the popup just come up again and it won't let us login/do anything even if i click accept ads etc. am currently in private mode on my laptop to view the forum (for some reason it works i private mode).
Have to use my mobile to log in now. My laptop just doesn't let us log in. Every time I try a red error message an error has been encountered. Probably page was cached.please try again. Then goes to why you are seeing this advert pop up.

Then you are likely to run into the hell of the "you are running an adblocker" blocking you reaching the actual login page. Admittedly I havent spent time on it yet, since its the secondary computer which timed out, but it seems a complete mess with a different account for just skipping ads vs an actual subscription.
Sadly I cant trust ad sellers to actually obey the rules so really does need the log in page exempting from these rules. I would love to hear the argument against doing so?
Cleaning the cookies didn't do anything. I just cannot log in to my account at all on my laptop Inc private mode now.

How long is your delay? Loads have improved significantly in the last couple of weeks.
Same as ever to open threads or post, from 5+ seconds to 20 + seconds to open certain threads, then it jumps around, sometimes opens 1st page then jumps to last page then scrolls to last post.
Mark said it’s something to do with how it’s cached as it loads everything then loads the final page.

Also something new on safari/ipad, when hitting the back button it indicates that the back button has been pressed/touched as the page jumps, but it doesn’t return to main forum page. I have to refresh page, then hit back button
That’ll be a one @Mark would be better answering he has a better understanding.
Your back button is odd, just tested it and had no issues. I wonder if it’s related to the problems you’re having with page loading.
I was just thinking that it felt much quicker today, not that I ever found it slow enough to bother me.

It's awful today. Slow, periods offline and double posts.
It's slow as molasses for me today. I was willing to blame this ancient computer, but I've just a 502 Bad Gateway from nginx. Are we under attack again?

I don't know if it's just me, but the forum search now only seems to be providing 15 results. Since these are mostly all replies to the same thread it's not very useful.
Oh and there's no longer an option to search the body of posts (just thread titles). I assume that this is by design to speed things up, but it's quite limiting.
Now that humungous Debenhams ad seems to open without being clicked.
Open thread (on bike storage one on the bike forum), that ad pops up, whilst looking at the screen to see where to close it it opens as if I have clicked on it (which I definitely haven’t).
I’ve been a paid full subscriber and digital subscriber before, supported the raffles to keep the lights on etc, but this forum doesn’t work. Traffic must be considerably down given the lack of new posts. Much less reviews and therefore things of interest.
I have no IT knowledge but this is the only forum I use with these issues.
In the classifieds, if you click "message seller" it takes you to what looks like your own profile page ( singletrackworld.com/participant/thisisnotaspoon/messages/163) page that says "You do not have permission to view this page"
I can only access the forum with my phone. On my laptop it keeps giving the 'go ad free', or allow ads & refresh options. I keep clicking ad free, but the popup keeps coming back. That is using chrome, with no additional adblocker installed.
It's impossible to get on the site any more.
Oh, and on the phone there are static ads at the bottom of the screen which are fine, however there are constantly video ads popping up, which autoplay - including sound which interrupts anything that I am already listening to, or plays out loud when I am in a quiet place.
Ditto - unable to send any messages in regards to classified ads.
I cannot view my forum profile - "You do not have permission to view this page" means I cannot go back and find an old thread I was going to post to.
I also cannot seem to subscribe - tells me I have an active subscription, which I do not. I can see I had an subscription I could re-activate, but that only offered what I was on before, not one of the new options. So I have now cancelled properly. I will see if that changes anything. But it is not an easy journey to re-subscribe.
For two or three days now, the forum, and homepage have been almost unusable for me on two browsers, as the pop up 'Why you're seeing this/ allow ads' pops up on every page, and up to 5 times on some pages. Nothing has changed at my end.
Question regarding adding pics. I know how you do it and have done it successfully numerous times. However, I seem to have uploaded loads and loads of pics, so when I go to my media I can't find the pic I want.
So the actual question, is it possible to delete the pics in my media? In the past when I've added 2-3 pics they disappeared.
