I've ridden most of it over the years, used to live quite close to the Wenlock Edge bit, it gets very muddy and cut up by the horses but ok in the dry weather. Thinking of doing a 3 day ride involving the bit to the Welsh border and then linking to the Trans Cambrian trail N of Knighton.

Do it now while it is dry.

If you must follow a route someone else has come up with then go for it, but you'll be riding past a whole load of magnificent riding just to say you rode the mostly ordinary route.

i don't know any of the area though, so thought a marked route would be a good start

I ride part of the wenlock edge section on the way to work it's been improved under tyre with stone, but the horses still dig it up.

You'd be better off heading over here MTB Shropshire although this misses out huge amounts it does include some great bits.

Or I could knock up an 80 mile do everything gpx file for you.
