Anyone else enjoying these?

Get past the over-lush Americanisms, and this guy has a heart of gold and a love of life. That and he's nails.

I'm totally inspired for a long distance walk or ride in the USA.

It's rubbing off on me - I had to ole-ole-ole in a road tunnel today...

I've watched a lot of his stuff but for some reason this latest series hasn't grabbed me, will give it another go soon!

I started watching but he's just a bit too keen for me - I should probably give it another go because it seems well done otherwise.

He is a bit OTT until you realise that he is for real. And thats kind cool.
But the county ... its stunning.

*Spoiler alert*

He meets some pals en-route who can cook.

That part of the Divide route is utterly stunning; its big, not too remote so its a great introduction for what is to come soon. I will watch more of his stuff coz we can't get out there and race it for a while. One of the fun bits of doing the Divide is that you can eat whatever you fancy - its a 2700 mile picnic.

Every town also has at least one brewery serving delicious beer so its also a 2700 mile pub crawl.

Thanks for sharing MOAB. Really good films. Glad he also captures the amazing culture of massive kindness to strangers by the locals.

I'm a bit of a Tour Divide obsessive, and started watching this series after the recommendation above. Wanted to say thanks OP, really enjoying it!

Thanks for the heads up. In some ways I kind of envy people with that much enthusiasm for stuff, just on ep2.

I found the all American enthusiasm a little but much at first, thought i might struggle with it but then he told his story about Sweden and I really warmed to him, he's 100% genuine and what a great reminder that the US isn't entirely populated by narrow minded lunatics.

I also love the fact that he's not carrying a stove but he's got an electric razor, just how many people would look at all the gear they might take and decide the stove was nowhere near as important as the electric razor. Perhaps he'll dump the down jacket next as you never know when you might need a tuxedo

I agree.

He should have been in UK this year apparently - @stwhannah - interview if he eventually makes it?

I am half way through and LOVE this guy. Such a lust for live, it’s infectious. I love how he makes the days come to life just by being appreciative of what he has. Great ambassador for the sport.

The razor /stove thing is hilarious!

We would have knocked that enthusiasm out of him and nicked his bike within an hour.

Found the three minutes of detail before he left his motel room a but much, and then gave up.

Binge watched it with The Best Beloved over the last week and really enjoyed it. He is very American but quite likeable and his filming is bang on. Some of the scenery shots are amazing.

Now, how to wangle 3 months off work once the pandemic is over...

I really enjoyed this too - watched Ryan and Ali bike across America, and a few others. I live up the hill from him in Eagle, Colorado (having moved from London). Great guy, people like him with such enthusiasm and energy, who really care about the world and fellow humans, are one of the best thing about living in a biking mecca in the American West.
