Hi all,

As you may or may not know, the big lump of Yorkshire love has been having a bit of a hard time of it lately. Anyway, he's getting out on the bike a bit more so we've decided to have a bit of a run out with him as a good way to cheer him up and ride again with the good people of this here forum.

24th July at Delamere, Teetwosugars is kindly leading us around. The pace will be VERY sedate and the route easy. This isnt a full on ride out, its a day out socialising with a bit of a pootle thrown in. It would be great to see anyone that wants to join us.

I'll post the meeting details when Nick gets back form his jollies.

Hope to see you then!

Is it the Delamere Forest in Cheshire ?
Dont know why, I always though it more Northerly. Probably confused with Dalby.

Seein as delamere was one of my riding areas in the 80's it'd be churlish not to. In line with the general bimblathon vibe, I'll bring a couple of big wheel silly bikes if the 29er curious want to play

Never been to Delamere but it's only 20 or so miles from me. From what I've seen/read, I take it its all rideable on a cx bike? ( guessing there are no plans to take in the DH bits). I am aiming to get back on the bike for the first time since February by then....

Edit: its either that or a six inch full boinger- and we wouldn't want to be overbiked.

My local ride as well, so I'm in. ๐Ÿ™‚ .Just got back in from there, managed to get a extra ride in due to being on nightshift this week, and it's as muddy in places as you can expect in Winter, got a nice layer of watered down peaty soil on the patio now, better go and finish off the cleaning of bike and stuff.
Do we need to bring cakes, or have a stop at Eddisbury Tea Room / Cider Farm? ๐Ÿ˜›

As one of Ton's body doubles with arms plenty long enough to hug him + I'm the proud owner of "one of his cast off's" I am very much up for a gentle ride round Delamere + cake.

& as its only 1/2 hour from home it suits my domestic situation. Will probably bring a couple of hangers on too ๐Ÿ˜€

Drac, that is a massive drive for you!!!

Who can resist?
Myself and nbt are planning on coming.

Lowey - for some reason I thought Ton didn't know that some riding pals were coming to join him. Had it in mind that he would arrive with a couple of chaps and then 20 odd stwers would pop out from behind a bush and say boo.

Myself and the good lady shall be coming along. There's a decent campsite at Delmere too, so We'll be combining Sundays pootle with a Saturday night barby and fizzy wine session. Should anyone fancy it? How frightfully civilised ๐Ÿ˜€

Oh.... and can all of us who are ridiculously over-biked go and play on the 4x track? Canwe? Canwe? Canwe? DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD! ๐Ÿ˜€

WHOHOOOOOOOOOOO!! Everyone can laugh at my entirely inappropriate non cycling cycling gear that's if I manage to after eating Binners cooking and enduring his tent snoring and trumping to make the ride.

I'm rubbish by the way so will be at the rear  more so I can watch everyone's bums to be honest
