I'll be the guy at the back mincing down mountain and walking up the hills.

A couple of things to tidy up, I'll be changing the bash guard, and I'll be sorting out the seatpost cable once I am certain of the height I'll be running it at.

that looks brilliant.

Nothing wrong with building up a bike the day before the big event either.

the money is not relly the issue once you take into account the money saved by not having to buy cassette, mech, shifter, chain, chain guide, cranks etc.

the weight should be ok the location of it inbetween your feet should make less of a difference.

Che bello!!!

Lovely machine, just wondering why you went nearly a 68 degree head angle is that because of the 180mm forks? BTW can you give a ride report on the forks after the nmega?

I was the first to test the gboxx one for some German Journo's, amazing machine... but I dont have €5K Euro 🙁

The gboxx one below!!

nasher, that is the standard ha for the am. I trust those who know about these things. no one else who rides an am says that it's too steep, so i didnt feel the need to change it.

I tried the Gboxx with a 160mm fork (it was 175mm rear)

I found it tucked in a bit on hard cornering, but with a 180mm fork it should be perfect..

Enjoy and have fun!!

Ian - congrats mate, fab looking steed. But how long did it take to arrive?!!!>

Just sold my Ion to a nice chap from Bristol who is going to have more time to use it for that which is was designed. I'm having to take a back seat on the DH front for the time being, although the AM is ****ing amazing for a trail bike DH.

Just got back from a long weekend in the Alps and in Chamonix, it absolutely rocked.

Have fun at the mega and at some point we are going to have to hook up and go riding. Two AMs on the trails - maybe Forrest of Dean?

Stunning bike. How come your grass is so green? Mine's a grim shade of beige!

Geetee, I'm off for two weeks, but only in the alps for one, so if your free how about fod 2 weeks today with perhaps an overnight stay and then cwm carn on the sunday.

heihei, the grass does not get any sun after 2pm so it stays nice and green.

nasher, it should be good, the rear trave is only 120 - 140
