[Closed] The AA Insurance and claiming an old bike?

My 2002 Stumpjumper M4 was stolen a couple of weeks ago from outside my local train station 🙁

I have begun to make a claim under my home contents insurance, which is with The AA.

The policy will in theory cover me up to £1500.

What I am likely to get by claiming a 12year old bike?

I think I still have the original receipt, although this is for the price I paid for it back in 2002.
Cheers
David

Well someone managed to blag £2.5k for a 10 year old one the other week but I have a feeling you may not be as lucky.

Depends on the policy - it'll either be new for old. Or it may not.

New for old on my aa policy so you should get a current equivalent new bike.
