Has landed on their website, without a lot of fanfare, to pre-order:

Rival groupset with hydraulic brakes, £1400, looks nice in the blue.

So, with the Kaffenback, that's 2 steel gravel (type) bikes in the last 2 weeks ... is that not a bit of duplication, alongside their 3 Titanium gravel bikes?

And several very similar HTs?

(But then, when have OO/PX line up ever made sense?)

Out of interest, time to play spot the difference. The Rujo also has 3mm more tyre clearance.

The Rujo is the first one, 565mm seat tube in size XL Vs 540mm on the kaffenback.

No. Seat tube is 565 vs 540 on XL.

That's what I said 😉😁

(Bloody typo!)

So there's a few differences but not masses - it is very PX to have loads of bikes all very similar though.

They updated the geometry in the Kaffenback but then ordered the old geometry as well. But noticed in time get the updated one painted a different colour and think of a new name

Isn’t that usually how things work at Planet X

Different tubesets maybe?

Still not massive by todays standards though… if it supposed to be Road/Gravel it’s ok, if it’s supposed to be rufty tufty gravel then it’s a bit narrow IMO. Looks like a nice bike otherwise.

Funny, when I pointed out the Kaffenback's tiny seat tube the other day I was told it was aping the old TCR apparently...

At the same time 565mm for an 'XL' still seems a bit on the small side, unless of course it's intended for a dropper(???) Except, yet again, it's a 27.2mm seat tube dia...

Headtube lengths are interesting too...

I think maybe PX/OO sizing has just gone all over the place...

Looks nice, and Rival hydro is a great bit of kit.

PX have never done a proper XL size, I assume they buy quite large batches to get a cheaper price and don't want loads of extreme sizes hanging around.

My mate picked one up for £999 today. Seems a bit of a bargain.
