did it on my avid elixirs and hey presto its back to normal sharp service! result!

Piston seal is also the retraction spring which is actually just a rubber o-ring.Laccy band the lever in and the seal 'relaxes' a little and resets the piston a bit closer to the rotor.

Zip ties also...but not too tight.
This makes a big difference if you have the bike upright or upside down for a night or so. It asks the air in the braking system, very politely, whilst you're asleep, to leave so their master can have his brakes working again.
Zip ties every time.
will this work with sticking brakes?
No.Likely to be seized/sticky piston or more probably too much fluid in the system (increases in volume as it absorbs moisture-even in a closed system).Open resevoir cap/lever bleed screw whilst pushing (carefully) pistons apart to vent excess.
Or...pay nice man at lbs to do it and bleed them whilst he's at it.
