I've bought a frame off a fellow STWer and he dropped it off at his LBS, Bike Tree, in Sheffield for my courier to pick up.
My courier's been a massive FAIL, but I'm so grateful for the help and generosity of the guys at Bike Tree, who've been totally cool about having an unlabelled box lying around in their back room, and have responded to various enquiring calls and emails about whether the courier had showed up.
Very very grateful. Nice when people help out of decency and the fellowship of the riding community.
Snap, dropped my bike off for a few minor alterations on Friday. My car broke on the way to collect it so it had to stay with them an extra day, no drama.
Got on the train to pick it up next day, they asked how the car was etc.
Good service, cheaper than I was expecting too.
