If anyone has a GPX of this Sunday's Test Valley Tour - Hot Challenge Offroad 20 May, could they email it to me please - TVM
It's well signed; I would not worry. [unless the phantom sign mover messes up the loops though Collingbourne Woods again]
Not sure if the route is the same each year though?
Route changes every year so last years would almost certainly be useless.
ok thx - but still always like the GPX jic - anyone?
As event organiser for the Summit Sixty-Five - a MTB Sportive in the Heart of the Chilterns, 17 June fm High Wycombe junc 4 M40 http://65.summitmtb.co.uk/ , I know what it's like when signs go missing?! This year, year two we're using tech from ViewRanger, marshalls riding ahead of riders and roving marshalls inaddition to full waymarking, GPX files and a good ole OS map to ensure riders stay on track and have the best day out possible. We've 3 cracking routes lined up from a challenging 65 mile through intermediate 65 km to a family/youth freindly 15 mile. All comprise the area’s best woodland and tree-lined singletrack, linking classic Chiltern byways, bridleways and quiet country lanes.
As above, a GPX isn't released ahead of the event and the route varies each yr.
think i did the wessex one from andover last year, enjoyed it, there was some signage issues but overall good and i didnt get lost, but did ask for clarification from some others that were equally unsure..
the issue i had was a puncture nightmare! got a sidewall flint tear in my tubeless wheels that kept going down and ran out of co2!
im sure i've done the hot one before and not got lost.
wouldnt mind a gpx after the event so i can do it though 🙂
dobbo, rrollins - you got mail. Was a good route this year I thought, made me ride a few bits in a way I wouldn't do normally.
i missed out on the test valley tour yesterday due to iillness, i would be ever so greatful if you could send me the GPX file 😀
Thanks in advance
Stick a mail address in your profile, I'll get it over to you.
cheers for that
