Bit of a holiday coming up and was planning a bit of a road trip.
Questions

Afan - How is the Skyline? If we take one of the shortcuts do we miss any great trail?
As the Cafe is closed at 6pm weekdays is there anywhere else worth camping? Pub nearby etc

Brecons
Trail Maps Founs this link on MBWales any reccomendations on these routes?

Any Suggestions on where to stay

Skyline sucks at the moment.Too many sections closed.Far too much fire road.

I'd recommend riding W2 and perhaps stay at Byrn bettws lodge in Tonmawr ( Trail passes it directly.

T-bones is a cracking steakhouse near by, and the colliers arms is just down the road.

Afan.

Sky line is a mission. Take the short cut and you'll skip a shite load of fire road.
There's a nice little pub in Cymer village just down from glyncorrwg called the refreshment rooms, five mins (ish) from either camp site by car.

Afan Lodge on the main road is good for food and beer, been sampling the Reverand James there recently, a very fine Ale, may well have one tomorrow after I've had a SingleSpeed spin around Y Wal.

Ace ride!

Stay at the Traveller's Rest in Talybont on Usk.
Drink in the Traveller's over dinner, then the Star for several after dinner!
Breakfast at the Traveller's is ace, and a very warm welcome.
