Hi,

Me and a friend were talking about riding the coast to coast next spring, and hopefully some other epic rides. Has anyone got any route suggestions, or useful links? We are both quite competent downhill riders so a few technical climbs and descents are a massive bonus! I'd quite fancy riding something like the transwales if anything like that is running again, or just working out our own routes. How about any that could take in somewhere with some dh'y tracks for a litle play?

Thanks

Andy

England is also very good but you're going to have to wait for it to dry out a lot until its worth attempting.

Depends if you're looking for a DH road trip, or a multiday ride?

whats so bad about the english one? We probably wouldnt do it till april or may anyway when the evenings start to get longer.

Im talking about a multiday ride, on our xc bikes, but with an aim to riding fun tracks, not just fireroads. We'd rather go a shorter distance, and ride better descents than go long distances on fireroads.

The only bit of the English C2C I've ridden was the bit from the coast to Keswick. I was on my tourer (with mudguards and 28mm tyres). There was one short section where some knobbly tyres would have been useful.
