I'm going next saturday and wondering what to expect? I've watched a few videos and it looks like fun, but you can never really tell the gradient. What is it like in the wet? My usual riding is Aston Hill DH and I like getting my wheels off the ground. Thanks in advance.

Thanks grum, I was going to do a search, but got side tracked. I'm doing Antur the day before which is more my kind of thing, then I suppose I will be mincing down on my face at Revolution. I've done the Mega etc too, but the combination of mud, roots and steep turns me into a bit of a fanny! ๐Ÿ™‚

Revolution isn't that bad, there's plenty of fun bits, few steep bits. Check the vid I posted in that other thread.

I was with Grum, last year, It took all day to get confident, but I guess it all depends how much you ride that type of stuff.

Some stuff is that steep you can't stand on it !! ๐Ÿ™„

Nice vid, I was watching that earlier! How does it compare to Mynnd Du, Rheola etc? Apologies for the spelling.

It's not that bad - would have been a lot easier if I had the balls to stay off the brakes a bit more, and I was a bit fitter. By the time I was confident enough to ride most of it vaguely properly I was knackered.

I thought it looked easy from watching videos!

Sorry, never ridden Rheola or Mynydd Du.

Some stuff is that steep you can't stand on it !!

A 45* slope would be difficult to stand on, yet would be easy to ride down though?

Haha, all I was saying was that just because something is difficult to stand on, doesn't automatically make it hard to ride down ๐Ÿ˜‰

chakaping, mine are currently fitted, but will have to come off for Antur or they would lose every last knobble!
