Just taken my bike in for a service and they have called me to say there is possibly some delamination on my Easton carbon bars - what does this mean? I am guessing it means they are dead?

If they are delaminated then I'd suggest binning them (or warranty claiming).
Of course many people confuse an uneven weave in the cosmetic carbon fibre layer that you can see with delamination... Same with the clearcoat layer.
