Thinking of doing a little trip in my camper and Wales is not too bad to get to, but I know nothing about trail centres, never been to one, but I'm thinking I'd like to be able to just follow marked routes rather than have to buy and pour over maps and all the 'stop get map out, am I going the right way, map away, carry on', etc. And rather than spend hours on the interweb trying to find out what's there I thought I'd ask you lot as I'm sure lots of you have been to these places? So, what's in south/mid Wales areas, anything? And, if you can recommend or know there's a good local campsite even better! Internetweb links appreciated please. Not looking for anything really technical like drop offs and jumps. And, if anyone has decent normal easy to follow routes on gpx files that's be good too? Cheers.

Thanks for the headsup on the theft rate, I'll have a look at the FC websites, but I did do a quick search and found a great website listing loads of info for the areas HERE ๐Ÿ™‚ but I might stay away from the purpose built centres and go to the 'MTB Base' areas as listed on that website.

If you've got a camper there is really no need to use campsites. I think the only trail centre carpark that I haven't stayed over at is Coed-y-Brenin (used one in the forest down the road).

You could always go to Scotland and camp virtually anywhere under their access laws.......
