My bike has a straight EC44 headtube, and I'm using a tapererd steerer fork with an external bottom cup. All well and good.
I fancy trying to slacken head angle with an angle set headset gizmo thing. Is it possible? All the sets ones I have checked out seem to be for forks with 1 1/8" straight steerers only.
Shall just forget this madcap plan?
Superstar do an ec44 for tapered steerer, I've got on of there angle adjust and it's been fine.
Works have them for pretty much everything. Your EC44/ZS44 would be replaced with an EC44/EC44 with the top bearing offset rearwards. I think they do -1.5 deg like that.
Yep - the Works EC44/EC44 is what you want
you need to know your head tube length and order the right one for the desired angle
Put exactly that works headset in my Solaris back in the spring. In the intervening time it has continued to do headsetty things with no complaints and I like the geometry change, so go for it.
