I wonder if Sagan will emulate Lance's offroading from 2003, but wheelie through the field instead

Am 'working' from home so missed him getting back on.

Thought Tommy V might get the stage when I saw him in the breakaway but costa a very worthy winner

that's why I'm still thirsty now from a 75 miles ride on Sunday in 30 degree heat. I drank 4 bottles of water, a coffee and a carton of apple juice - I should have drank 4 times that... easier said than done without a support crew.

I know it's not the done thing for roadies but that's when camelbaks are really useful..

Nice run back to the cake shop... I fancy trying that road one day. (I have never ridden a road bike)

Oops little off there.

bloody hell. I bet froome's glad that descent is over, looked like he lost the back wheel, a few corners after he ran wide

Froome over shot a corner, and i think Contador came off on the same corner. all back in the group of favorites now

contador/froome both have to dab on a tight R-hander.

Porte brings both of them back to the chasing group.

field blew open on the climb to just the main contenders - bertie attacked a few times on the climb - came to nothing - then attacked on the very hairy descent - then he and froom had a minor moment going around a corner. Porte, bertie, and froome then 'took a few risks' to close a small gap on the rest.

They have now, good stage. Froome covered everything, Porte was a substantial wingman today.

The little tumble Contador & Froome took is a warning, it could all get taken away so easily from Froome with just a small mistake.

Junkyard, have you tried any of the live ticker things? They will help you, or I just have Eurosport online on but I only listen to it (mostly)

Text ticker said that Mollema sat up and waited after the crashes?

Why would he do that?

so as to not get an unfair advantage over the other GC contenders

'cos he's a good egg. Bad form to attack after a crash.

Surely only if the crash wasn't self inflicted?

Nice guy.

I haven't seen the pictures yet so just wondered what happened.

If you over-cook a corner I'd be attacking. It's not stray tacks or chain droppage

Awesome ride from Porte to chase every attack then get back in the fight. Froome had to take evasive action to avoid Contador, who refused to work with froome to catch the group ahead despite the fact it contained riders who are challenging Contador for podium placings, not froome for top spot.

PS I also looked for a topless Froome photo

There's hope for you yet ๐Ÿ˜‰

Very interesting stage. Quintana actually put a decent sprint in as well, very surprising. Good to see Porte finish with the bunch too.

Brilliant day on the Col du Manse, highlights were Costa absolutely ragging it past us and Voekler chasing behind hanging his tongue out in comical fashion ๐Ÿ˜€

Just finished watching the highlights on itv4+1

Who's Bertie got a beef with? Who was he complaining about pushing on after the crash - his own team mate? Surely not froome and porte, they dragged him back for free.

Anyway - what a beast Richie porte is. He was buried up the climb, dragged himself back on with the dregs of an old energy gel that he somehow found stuck to the inside of his bowels, and then pulled like a train all the way back after the crash. Whatever they're hopefully going to celebrate with in a few days time, he deserves double rations.
