If the Le Mans trip (other thread) is not doable, I'm thinking about a short break with uplift somewhere warm ish. It would need to be pretty tame stuff with options for lots of stops, possibly to the point of just being dropped off somewhere and then for us to make out own way down at our own pace.
Skills wise, Laggan Red is no problem, but endurance may be for a long day in the saddle.
Any suggestions?

The green runs in Alpe d'Huez seem pretty easy and there are plenty of younger children riding them.

Meribel/3valleys is ideal for what you describe.

Lots of big routes can be done really easily on blue/green trails, nice 90% downhill stuff, without being "Downhill" trails.
Linked together with lifts when needed.

Easy to navigate from the trail map and very quiet even in main season.

Would strongly recommend les deux Alpes

If the kids can manage laggan red they would be able to manage the greens and probabally most of the blues.

It's a big hill so you would want to take your time but the whole place is very user friendly, very well marked etc + the town is a great place as there is a summer ski scene there meaning most shops restaurants etc are all open, + golf, swimming pool, ice rink, paint ball, archery and loads of other stuff going on as well, unlike a lot of the resorts which are a ghost town in the summer.

+ alpe D'huez is only 1 hour away if you wanted to check it out although in my experience the green trails there are very limited and tend to have good riders riding them at 'race pace' as they are an easy way to get back to town from the upper mountain.
