Getting a new frame but want to keep my 142 wheels..has anyone used the adapters? Cheers
I tried some ghetto adaptors using correctly sized washers. It worked but brake alignment was a pain. A boostinator is probably a better bet if you're going down the adaptor route. Not cheap for a couple of washers and a rotor spacer though.
I went down the boostinator route, nicely made kit. Basically a new non drive end cap for my DT swiss hubs and a rotor spacer and longer bolts. Wheel needed re-dishing over which was a 2 minute job for my LBS which likely i could probably of done.
I wouldn't of bought a new frame unless i was sure i could use my current wheelset. Really pleased with the setup, works perfectly. My friend has made his own kit with washers. Not nearly as neat and im pretty sure the cassette is not in the optimum position, but that's a guess.
Cheers fellas
