This summer a guy and a mate took a mtb along the Aonach Eagach ridge, this may sound insane but they were prepared they dismantled the bike and hauled bits using a rope to clear the pinnacles, wonderfull method in their madness! any one else got any mad cap ideas or experiences to share.

The Scottish Highlands,Glencoe, the Aonach Eagach is supposed to be the most exposed ridge scramble on the mainland, i know it looks like a seriously proposterous endeavour but you got to laugh, the story goes they were told by mates as a wind up it was a good ride ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Yup, it's right up there with extreme ironing.
Almost pointless ,but as long as they are having fun.
At least no helicopters were involved.

Fast Haggis any more tales of derring do you would like to add! i have this idea of riding along the Five Sisters of Kintail, this may well be more of a bike ride, but then again...the naysayers think not.

O M G! I 'walked' the ridge last summer with the usual hiking kit and I thought I was going to die. One of my mates had his dog with him and people thought we were crazy taking a dog. We did have to carry/push/throw him on some sections. I hope they didn't try the Clachaig Gully. That would be some downhilling!

Rode, scrambled, swore our way to the top of the Old Man of Coniston.
Camped for the night in a storm.
Woke up to thick fog, managed to scramble down a few hundred metres and then barrel down the rest of the way in torrential rain.
Greasy rocks, dodging walkers, used quite a few of my nine lives.
Awesome.
