Hi,
Has anyone used one of these? I'm thinking of fitting one to an old rigid inbred for the wife to use on fireroads and gravel tracks, but am wondering if the driven front wheel and weight will make it unstable for an inexperienced rider. Any feedback please.

We've never ridden ebikes before, but I fitted a Swytch kit to my wifes Bobbin ladybike a few weeks ago and it has transformed her riding.
She loves it! She struggled on the few hills we have near us (we live in London so not that hilly!) and moaned that she was tired doing a 30 mile ride but now no problems to complain about. She keeps suggesting we go for a spin. She's quite a nervous and newish rider but has no problems with it The motor kicks in very gently and only when pedalling.
It'd be perfect for an inexperienced rider.
I have ridden it quite a bit as I set it up for her and I too love it. I borrow it a lot to run chores or errands on as it's so much fun to ride. I don't notice the weight of the battery on the bars at all but then i've never rided it on fire roads as it's a town bike. The mount for the battery is very secure so I couldn't see it being a problem on fire roads or light gravel.
Overall I don't notice any weight difference with the whole kit.
I actually have my own Swytch kit in the shed for my Condor Fratello road bike but so far haven't got round to fitting it. Anything you want to know, I'll try to answer.

I have a tongsheng BB mount kit. Be careful of clearances around the BB area on an MTB but I like it. I much prefer BB mount to wheel mount

Thanks very much for your comments guys. Whist the Tonshen looks good,I'm leaning towards the Swytch one for simplicity, their next presale starts Monday and I'm hoping pricing and lead times are reasonable.....

I’ve been looking at these

https://wooshbikes.co.uk/?tskit

Like the torque sensing aspect(as the brake stuff seems archaic) and hub might be better for gf.

Also noticed there are now torque sensing bb kits that just bolt in (square taper), which would be even neater.

Once the COVID carry on is over I’m tempted to ask if they have a demo bike and pop over and have a play as I’d like to know what if feels like/how well the torque sensing works

We bought the Swytch Pro versions and with the customs duty they were about £610 each.
Originally ordered on the 20th May, my wifes kit arrived in the middle of October and mine about a week ago. Quite a wait but we were ok with that. I'm going to fit mine tomorrow!
