I'm headed down south on the 27th wondered what the current trail conditions in Swinley forest were like? is it a quagmire mud fest at the mo?
Most of the trails I usually ride are officially shut. The quicker stuff in the "exxpert mtb area" is ppen and is riding nicely.
Thanks never riden there before (live in Yorkshire ride dales and NY Moors) , i heard the trails around surrey hill and rapley farm were good and that the western end was badley damaged by fire and suffer after heavy rain
The whole place suffers from heavy rain. At the moment it'll resemble the worse parts of the Somme.
I was there today a bit wet on the ground but better than most areas at the moment.
As thefaller says. Its wet but totally ridable. plenty of fun to be had all over.
Saw a facebook pic of the Tank Traps run a couple of days ago. It was under quite a bit of water.
How much is shut at swinley? Thinking of heading down there tomorrow but trying to sus if it's worth the trip.
A lot of the main trails are closed. The rest is a swamp. The only firm ish bit is labyrinth etc.

Are the downhill bits open? don't know the names of things..
