Will I notice much difference? I need (want) a new frame anyway, so why not save some weight at the same time? Hope it's ok with 130mm Revs!

The geometry's identical. Which, IMO, means it's not OK with 130mm Revs but if you like it on the Bred then you'll like it on the Scandal.

I've not ridden the latest Scandal mind but the original one made the Bred irrelevant IMO ๐Ÿ˜‰ Much lighter, but also much livelier and surprisingly softer- if you pepsi taste challenged me I'd have said the Bred was alu and the Scandal was steel.

But, if you're getting a new one, that might not be the case.

Forks will be fine, you let us know how the rest pans out..

The geometry is identical to your Inbred.

I found my scandal stiff and uncomfy.

Had many Scandals and love them but 29er's. I'm in the process of building a 26er Scandal from an Inbred bike but using an original Scandal frame which are around 1 pound lighter than the new versions! Apart from that, everything should be the same only you will same 2 pounds in weight if your building up a new v2 Scandal. The Scandals are meant to be used with a 100mm suspension fork though but ????

Good luck

All you need to get is a 31.8mm seatclamp (seat-tube is the same inside but thicker outside).

A friend has a 16" (2nd version, not really scandium) scandal with the original shape 95-130mm u-turn rev fork: it is a bit wandery up hill at 130mm (I guess you are used to that with your inbred at 130mm though) but it is a proper giggle to ride, and between us we haven't broken it yet. Can't say it rides any different/harder/softer/flexier compared to my wife's 16" inbred though, just weighs a bit less.
