Has anyone done the bit from the top of the Rhigos to Ponty. I know the Afan side from Neath but never been this side before - is it all still there.

Not done it for a couple of years but many times in the 10 years before that. Mountains like that don't disappear very quickly so I am sure it is all there (and the route).
Steady how you go on the drop into Ponty.
