During the weekend someone at work (Corstorphine Tesco extra) had his bike locked outside the store (I'm working weekend nights, this person was probably afternoon/evening shifts). There is not many staff riding to work and definitely no one ever mentioned he has such a nice bike.

Blurry mobile phone pic, but the bike has a rare Fort mtb frame (something like CC 26 model), almost full XT, older Crossmax wheels, SID fork and those beautiful 4 pot XT brakes. Now I'm not saying it is stolen, but the foam taped to the saddle looks suspicious and out of place. All bits on the bike are similar year as the SID and very good quality. Very rare frame and a nice setup, looks like a nice XC bike but the foam looks out of place. Anyone knows if there is a Fort mtb missing in Edinburgh?

Are tesco employees not allowed nice bikes without telling you? 😉

You've also just told t'internet where to find a nice bike chained up all day.

They are allowed nice bikes without telling me (only if I get those 4 pot brakes 😉 ) but this one looks just wrong with the foam taped on the saddle. I thought it is worth mentioning as it is a rare bike and easily recognisable if it is missing. If not than someone spoiled a nice xc bike with green foam.

If someone on t'internet would like to try and nick it remember to wave to the CCTV camera pointing at that spot and say hi to staff smoking outside 😉

Cheers for the heads up - that should narrow it down a bit. I'll be round with the bolt cutters later. 😉

So there is a CCTV as well? Right, so hood on then.

Any other tips? 😉

Smoke grenades and a cloaking device should be enough (it's like a fortress with all the armed security guards). Also the police station is on the other side of the car park, so at least it won't be a long walk/drive with the cops 😉
