Can anyone recommend me a place to get my suspension serviced and also locate and fix a mystery creaking noise? Somewhere with good experienced mechanics who really know their stuff.
Thanks.
Grease Monkey Cycles advertise suspension servicing.
To be honest, the costs are the same regardless of who you take it to, so for that reason alone I always post mine to TF Tuned (I'm in Glasgow). You'll have postage to pay but it's a minor cost to know it's proper suspension experts.
The other option is Taj up in Dunkeld. You can drop it off and get it done on the same day if you speak to him in advance.
There's also a Plus Suspension in Troon but I dont know much about them.
I will prolly get flamed for this but...I dropped my shock off for service on Monday at Evans in the city centre. They send it to thier suspenion place for free, £50 for service, then pick up from again from shop once its returned for free, which is 2 mins from my office.
I have no idea of what the quality of work will be like, but the ease of the process made it worth a go.
Sprockets in Killie do it too (i think), but that might be a bit of a trek for you,
cheers,
paul
Dales and Sprockets are both good for Fork servicing. They will also do basic shock stuff - seals and air cans but AFAIK they don’t do full strip downs and nitrogen chambers.
Taj in Dunkeld.
If you can stretch to Stirling, try Andy Laing at Stirling Bike Doctor. Very good mechanic and good mates with your man Taj.
Send mine to TF

50 quid does seem rather cheap for a full service, that's a 10 minute clean, seal and oil change. I'll do the 30 minute drive up to Glasgow and 'service' for 50 quid for you! 🙂
bugger 🙁
Dales do an air can service for about half that from memory.
Although getting 'serviced' by nobeer for £50 is a prospect some may relish... 🙂
You'd be frothing at the gash Clow.
aye, even just the though of it !! 🙂
If it's a cane creek , evans will send it to tf tuned
I new I should have kept my mouth shut. I would have been blissful in my ignorance. Now I have a half arsed service to pay for and some unwanted propositions 🤣
