Looking to get my 7 year old a replacement for his Islabike. Is it worth getting suspension forks or are they just ineffective extra weight on a child's bike?
For example Wiggle have a Giant XTC Jr with SR Suntour M2025 forks.

I think the kids Scott bikes have decent front forks ie soft. Also most 24" bikes with disc brakes will take a normal grown up fork, the softer the spring the better for xc, or an air fork.
