Hi chaps,

The Deltas have been out a while now, how are people finding the durability? Do they spin very fast, or are the seals still tight?

Cheers

Ricks

I have a set of the delta evo mag ti pedals. They lasted approx 400 miles of off road riding before the drive side pedal bearings failed.

So,not brilliant longevity.

You can buy a rebuild kit for them, but you need a socket with such thin sidewalls, I dont think such a thing exists.

So I gave up and bought some raceface atlas pedals

I had a pair with titanium axels and they sheared off the axle half way round Ae and I had to limp the remaining way round and buy an emergency pair from a shop. I didn't really rate the grip levels either tbh.

Delta mag ti's the threads stripped and the body separated from the axle half way round a night ride after a couple of hundred miles, the replacement standard deltas loosed off so the body has a couple of mm play.

Gave up and bought some hopes.

Thought the hopes were supposed to 'lack grip'?

Atlas RF any good?

OH has some, they did about 18 months covering two winters before a service (although they could probably have done with it sooner.

I did have to grind a socket down to fit though...

@Julians you might want to consider some pre-emptive maintenance on the Atlas pedal - the right hand pedal can unwind inside causing the axle to bind. Its only a 2 min job and you're set. Email me ben@birdmtb.co.uk if you want to know what to do.

The rf atlas is pretty good, very comfy and loads of grip. Cant comment on longevity yet though.

Ben - mail coming your way, thanks
