[#11642513]

I'm on the verge of buying a Pivot Trail 429 frame. I want to harvest parts from my 2018 Intense Primer so I know I will at least need a super boost rear wheel.

However, is there anything else needed eg a new crankset? I have a nice carbon crank from the Intense which I would like to keep and I also don't want costs to start spiralling. Thanks In advance.

What carbon crank? If it's a raceface you can swap the spindle to give the required chain line. Others makes might allow the same. You may find your existing crank is fine. Key things to check are chainring to Chain stay clearance, end of crank to chain stay clearance and chainline.

Thanks for that Nixie. The cranks are Truvativ.

Do they have a sram direct mount chainring? If so you should just need to change it to a 0mm offset one.

Cheers. Guy on FB also pointed me in the direction of problem-solvers being able to resolve the rear wheel sizing issue. It's looking increasingly do-able.

If super-boost is the 157 hub size I have a DT star ratchet based offering that I need to sell if you want to get something built up.
