A mate has a bike(nowt special) in Cornwall and wants it shipped to him on the Orkney islands.
How much would he be looking at and what company is cheapest. I doubt the bike is worth more than £70.
I expect it to be cheaper to buy one on the island for less, but he's not looking at that as an option yet.

They find slots in courier companies schedules and get you a good price...
Parcelforce for island stuff.

Used them a few times and they were very good.
I've used Paisley Freight twice in the past to ship a couple of bikes.

If you put in box dimensions and weights, I ended up paying £11 to ship a bike next day!
If you select 'Bicycle' from they're list it's around £22.
I have read nightmare stories about them but i've never had problems so i'd recommend them.
I would be very suprised if it was worth it to send it to the islands
I did senditnow.com, sent parcel friday be there tomorrow, guaranteed by noon. Parcelforce next day £12.99 or £13.99 with £500 insurance
