I've got oil collecting around the lower brake caliper mount and the bottom of the fork itself. First discovered it after some oil got onto the disc and I found myself going much faster than I would have liked. ๐ฏ
So at first, I thought it was a leaky caliper but I've now removed that and the oil is still building up. No oil leaking down the leg from the slider or seals. To be honest, I can't actually tell where its coming from anymore. The Lyrik lower has a bolt on the disc-side but when I remove it looks like its just a blank bolt hole? Also, the oil accumulates around the brake post mount, which is slightly above the fork bolt? Any ideas?
Cracked lowers?
I cracked the very end of the leg on mine a couple of years back, where the bolt is. I cased a big set of doubles really hard and I think that was what probably did the damage.
You'll need to look really carefully to spot any damage.
